DTA head makes vow
Dublin Transport Authority (DTA) chief Professor Margaret O'Mahony has
promised to deliver projects on time for the newly announced transport
plan.
The new organisation has been established to oversee the Government's
Eur34 billion transport plan in the greater Dublin area. Prof O'Mahony
has been handed the task of overseeing the project.
As part of the plan, Dublin is to get a new metro system, extend the Luas
Line and install more Dart lines and the DTA are expected to help the
projects be completed more efficiently.
Professor O'Mahony has stated that she will look to get the relevant bodies
on side before the project starts next year and stressed that she will
leave no stone unturned in her efforts.
"If that doesn't work, I won't be shying away from knocking heads
together," said the Professor.
