Jammed truck causes major disruptions

A truck that was caught under a bridge in Dublin caused hours of traffic disruption to commuters along the Customs House Quay early Monday morning (April 10th).

Gardai were forced to close the road for a number of hours and divert traffic onto an alternative route when the incident happened at 7.45 am.
The truck was transporting a disassembled crane when it got caught under the bridge and an AA spokesperson said the traffic disruption could have been a lot worse.

“There were a lot of delays, but it could have been far worse. Most kids are off school today which eased things considerably,” said the spokesperson.
