Cherry picker causes traffic chaos
For the second day running, there was major traffic disruption in Dublin
as an overturned cherry picker on one of the busiest routes into the city
caused major delays.
Motorists traveling along Alfie Byrne Road on the Northside to East Wall
Road were met with the sight of a cherry picker overturned at a junction
between the two roads.
The incident happened at 8am on Tuesday morning 11th April and caused
major traffic disruption for motorists trying to get to work, while Gardai
admitted that they did not know the cause of the accident.
Only 24 hours earlier a lorry got stuck under a bridge at the Customs
House along the Quays, which also caused major delays for motorists during
peak hour.
