Fears grow over fuel hike

The global rise in oil prices has become a major concern for all motorists and hauliers in the country as prices remain above $70 a barrel.

Fears are growing that prices will continue to rise as analysts monitoring the situation claim that along as Iran’s dispute with the international community continues, prices will increase.
OPEC has revealed that there is little they can do about the price increase until Iran reveal their nuclear intentions to the international community.

Prices for a litre of petrol and diesel could now reach as much as E1.20 a litre or even more. If this situation does arise, there will be a major problem for all haulage companies.
