Truck gets stuck under bridge

For the second time in a month, an articulated lorry got stuck under a bridge in Dublin, which subsequently caused disruptions to Dart services.

The lorry was carrying a high load when it collided with the bridge at Custom House Quay. No one was injured during the incident that was the 71st time a truck got stuck under a bridge in the last ten years.
“Truck-drivers are giving less attention to the height of the loads they are carrying, and this lack of attention is leading to these unnecessary incidents,” said a Spokesman for Iarnrod Eireann.

Meanwhile, a truck entering the Dublin Port Tunnel turned over, causing major delays for traffic traveling along the East Wall Road.
