Brityrex International 2007 up and running
The UK tyre industry welcomed the return of its own exhibition when Brityrex
International was staged in May last year. Following the success of the
show, the organisers - ECI International - lost no time in confirming
that they would be running another event in 2007.
Because of anticipated demand, the new show will be held at the G-MEX
Convention Centre, Manchester, where more space is available. And early
activity appears to bear out this optimism, as ECI International reports
a number of early bookings, despite the fact that the official sales campaign
has yet to get into gear.
"We are pleased with the numbers of bookings and enquiries that we
have received," says ECI Director Rowena Suthers, adding; "especially
as they have come from all over the world and from all sectors of the
industry."
These early bookings are a bonus, as ECI is preparing to launch its marketing
campaign. This will involve the formation of a Steering Committee, which
will meet regularly to discuss initiatives aimed at maximising exposure
for Brityrex International. The Committee members will come from all sectors
of the industry and will be headed up by the organisers and the NTDA,
which has pledged its support for the exhibition.
Of course ECI International will continue its policy of advertising in
all major trade publications worldwide, as well as a full programme of
PR and promotions. The company will also be exhibiting at this year's
Reifen show in Essen, promoting not only Brityrex International, but also
ECI's other shows - Tyrexpo Asia (September 2007 in Signapore) and the
new Tyrexpo Africa (May 2007 in Johannesburg).
"Experience has shown that there has been a significant cross-over
between our events in Singapore and the UK and the addition of our new
show in South Africa will add yet another dimension" explains Rowena
Suthers, making the point that the tyre industry is becoming increasingly
global.
"When we at ECI re-introduced Brityrex International, we were convinced
that there was a need for a dedicated tyre industry show," says Rowena
Suthers, "but the reaction to the last event and the advance interest
in the 2007 show has been even greater than we anticipated."
