Rosslare gardai probe fatal accident involving lorry

Rosslare gardai are investigating the accident in which a 41-year-old man died when the car in which he was a passenger crashed with a lorry.

The crash occurred at Churchtown, Kilrane, Rosslare, Co. Wexford, happened at around 6.30pm on Saturday, February 11th.
The victim was named as John "Jacko" Walsh from Ballygillane, Rosslare Harbour. The driver of the car was seriously injured and taken to Wexford General Hospital. The driver of the lorry was uninjured.
Gardai at Rosslare have appealed to witnesses to contact them at 053-65202.

Mr Walsh is the 11th passenger to die on the roads in 2006. The 54 deaths marks an increase of six on the number of people killed in the same period in 2005.
