Belfast Council to inform public on recycled goods
Belfast City Council is running a campaign to inform householders and
business on what can be recycled and the type of goods manufactured from
recycled materials.
Waste week in Belfast will finish on the weekend of Saturday, June 3rd.
A waste fair will be on display on the grounds of City Hall where people
will be able to look at functional and recycled goods.
People will be shown how to reduce the waste they produce in the home,
how they re-use it and how they recycle materials that might have ended
up as waste.
Craft stalls at the fair will be selling products made from recycled materials
like handbags and glasses. There will also be an environmental fair. Traditional
fairground games will be changed to a recycling theme.
The event takes place on Friday, June 2nd and Saturday, June 3rd. Admission
is free.
