Fish die following river pollution

Over 150 fish have died after pollution was discharged into a river in Co. Antrim.

The fish were found along a half-mile stretch of the Ballymoney River after the incident was reported to the Department of the Environment (DOE) on Friday, June 9th.

The DOE said that the pollution had been caused by a pump failure at a Water Service pumping station on the Ballybrakes road.
