Truck accidents claim two more lives

An accident involving a truck and a car at 4am on Tuesday morning (7th March) has resulted in the death of the 60-year-old motorist.

The accident occurred near Thistle Cross on the N1 Dundalk-Newry road and gardai are investigating how the incident happened and have called on any witnesses to come forward with information.

Meanwhile, the young motorcyclist who was killed when his bike collided with a truck has been named by gardai. Christopher Slevin, Donore, Longwood, Co. Meath died after his motorbike collided with the lorry on Sunday evening.
