IRHA raise Port Tunnel concerns
The Irish Road Haulage Association have expressed their concerns over
the alleged poor planning that has gone into the Dublin Port Tunnel, ahead
of the scheduled opening.
There are fears raised by the IRHA over the safety of truckers leaving
the Port Tunnel and heading for the M50 slip road, which they feel is
too short of a crossing.
IRHA spokesman Liam Brewer said: "There's too short a distance to
try and achieve that. That realisation seems to have come on the city
council very, very late.
"It's going to be a very3 intricate, a very dangerous bit of manoeuvring
to get onto the M50/M1 junction."
