Security van hijacked by JCB
A JCB was used by raiders who stole E500,000 from a security van on Tuesday
afternoon March 28th after the thieves smashed the front windscreen of
the vehicle.
The raiders made their getaway in a car that was later found near the
Bayside Boulevard area of North Dublin. The incident occurred at around
midday at the Donaghmeade Shopping Centre in Dublin.
Gardai are conducting an investigation into the robbery and are reported
to have made one arrest already and a spokesman revealed how the raiders
stole the cash.
As the van was parked in the shopping centre, three raiders drove
a low-loader type vehicle into the vans windscreen, said a
garda spokesperson.
