‘GE TIP Tankers to add more for the waste market’

GE TIP Tanker Services, the specialist tanker hire division of GE Equipment Services, have ordered six new High Volume JetVac units from Whale Tankers to be delivered for August 2006.

The addition of these new tankers are part of GE TIP Tanker Services expansion of more diverse specialized assets to compliment the established large hire fleet of truck mounted and semi-trailer vacuum tankers and gully emptier/jetters. TIP continues to invest with new rigid waste trucks with two new 2,300 gallon trucks delivered and one new 3,300 gallon to be delivered for July 2006, all built by Whale Tankers.

With the secure financial backing of GE, TIP offers these specialist municipal and waste vehicles on innovative leasing and contract hire solutions with a full menu of service options available to customers.
The High Volume JetVac’s from Whale have a capacity of 2,600 gallons (11,585 litres) fitted with a high performance jetting pump and vacuum tank combination.

Each vehicle has been specified with a Pratissoli MS50 high pressure pump, capable of 50 gallons per minute at 2000 psi and will also feature two hydraulically operated hose reels, with one being self-aligned. Some of the new units will be fitted with a 5” overhead loading boom to increase its application use.
All trucks will be mounted on Volvo chassis and will operate out of four dedicated TIP Tanker locations of Avonmouth, Knottingley, Leicester and Liverpool.
