Truck run in memory of Michael

14/06/2018

A truck run will take place from Kells, County Meath on Sunday, August 5th in memory of the late Michael McGarry.

All truck drivers are being invited to participate in this novel event, which will honour Michael’s memory whilst at the same time also raising funds for a very worthy cause.

Michael McGarry died suddenly in Lithuania on January, 4th this year and his family have since organised a series of fundraisers under the ‘In Memory Of Michael’ banner to help raise precious funds for the Kevin Bell Repatriation Trust, which brought Michael home from Lithuania.

Michael drove for Jones International Transport, leaving Ireland for the UK and the Netherlands. He loved his job as a lorry driver and, to remember him in an appropriate and fitting way and also raise some money for the charity that brought his body home, this special truck run will depart from Kells Business Park, on the Cavan Road on August 5th, with drivers meeting at 12 noon.

That same night, there will be a BBQ and music in Colwell’s Bar, Oristown to celebrate Michael’s life. It promises to be a great day and night. Anybody interested in taking part should text 085 2478693 for further details.
