Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus Corporation (MFTBC), one of Asia’s leading commercial vehicle manufacturers,  has started shipment of its strategic truck to Indonesia, to be launched there later this year.

Newly developed for growth markets in Asia and Africa, the all-new FUSO truck range has started its journey toward Indonesia, FUSO’s largest export market and Southeast Asia’s largest economy. With the new range of trucks, the company aims to fuel additional momentum in the market where FUSO has established itself as the leading commercial vehicle brand. FUSO is the market leader in the overall truck segment with a market share of 45.4% in 2013.

These robust and fuel-efficient trucks, newly developed to meet the ever demanding customer expectations in the growth markets, reinforce FUSO’s leading presence in Asia and Africa. Rigorous testing has been assessed under the most strenuous driving conditions to ensure maximum reliability of the trucks.

The new FUSO trucks have already arrived and are sold in Kenya, Sri Lanka, Zambia, Tanzania, Zimbabwe, Bangladesh, and Brunei, and are now on their way to Indonesia, with truck orders already placed from the company’s local distributer.

FUSO is the number one commercial vehicle brand in Indonesia, with a leading market share of 45.4% in the overall truck and bus segment (January-December 2013). In the light-duty truck segment (5-8 tons GVW) served by the Colt Diesel, the company continues to prove its leadership position with a market share of 53.1% percent (January-December 2013).

Over the past five years, the company has sold over 280,000 units in Indonesia, including light-duty trucks, medium-heavyduty trucks and light-duty bus chassis. The company reached its one millionth sales milestone in 2013 following its market entry in 1970.
