Moran Signs proud to be an ever-present supporter of Full of the Pipe

Full of the Pipe wouldn’t be the same without Moran Signs which holds the distinction of being the longest-running sponsor and official partner of the famous truck show.
As was the case when Full of the Pipe was first staged in Athlone in 2010, the midlands-based graphics and vehicle accessories specialist will once again sponsor the 16th edition of the show which returns to Mondello Park on Saturday and Sunday, July 12-13. Moran Signs proprietor Damien Moran is understandably proud of his company’s unwavering support for Full of the Pipe which continues to go from strength to strength.
“As the premier truck show in Ireland, we’re extremely proud to be an ever-present supporter of Full of the Pipe,” he enthuses.
“Sixteen years is a long time and the fact that the partnership between Moran Signs and Full of the Pipe has lasted this length just goes to show the mutual friendship and support that exists between myself and Kevin (Mulqueen) and Colin (Hegarty). There has been a very good relationship there all along – if there wasn’t, it wouldn’t have lasted this long.
“From humble beginnings, Full of the Pipe has grown into something really special. I would like to think that we’ve grown in tandem with it. We also enjoy an excellent relationship with Mondello through other events which take place there and which we support such as drifting and car shows.”
As ever, Moran Signs will have a display stand at the show and Damien says the onerous task of preparing for and exhibiting at such events would not be possible without the invaluable assistance of his team members Ben and Juris, brothers James and Declan and partner Emily, and not forgetting Eamonn and Big Red (David), who do a lot of the heavy lifting before and during these big events.
Damien is also grateful for the support of his parents Jimmy and Kathleen, who have helped him to get to where he is today.
“I’m operating seven mobile units now so some weekends are hectic. Our fleet is all Iveco trucks. They’re old but you know the saying: ‘the older the fiddle, the sweeter the tune’. We’re still waiting for a new lorry from Conor (Jennings) and Noelle at Longhaul Commercials!” the affable Westmeath man jokingly remarks.
To complement the magnificent truck, van and coach branding and graphics service provided, as well as his truck accessories, number plates and stickers offerings, Damien also runs Moran Farm & Rally Merchandise, which offers a wide range of motorsport clothing, and construction and farming model toys. In line with this diversification and growth of his business portfolio, he now employs his own dedicated in-house embroidery team.
Providing a wide range of customers with industry-leading solutions for closing in on two decades, Moran Signs design signs tailor-made for any business, using state-of-the-art technology to produce high quality, durable and value-for-money signage that is guaranteed to get the customer’s business noticed. From vehicle graphics for trucks and vans to striking shop fronts, pitch signs, safety signs and even stickers and labels, Moran Signs can cater for every eventuality.
Vehicle graphics is a huge part of the overall business and Moran Signs is firmly established as the proven market leader for stunning graphics, liveries, logos, wraps, colour changes and decals on trucks, trailers, vans and agri plant across the midlands and beyond.
“The trucking industry has always been a big part of what we do here at Moran Signs and we really appreciate their continued loyalty and support,” Damien points out.
“We’re introducing a new range of truck accessories at this year’s Full of the Pipe and will have a trailer specifically for that. We’re bringing along three trucks and a trailer which will showcase everything from truck number plates, stickers and accessories to agri and construction models, tractor stickers and accessories, and car accessories.
“Off the top of my head, we work for a number of companies in the midlands area, including Lynn International, Michael Needham Haulage, BR Transport, AC International, Molihan International, Hamill’s Recovery, Ecochip (Ray Quinn), Billy Moran & Sons, Ballyhugh International and Kiernan Milling as well as Kelly Recovery and Shannon Valley Plant Hire in Dublin to name just a few. The continued loyalty we’ve had from them has certainly helped us grow.”
Like the rest of us, Damien can’t wait for the 2025 Full of the Pipe to come around.
“It’s always a great day out for not only the trucking community, but for the whole family. Mondello is a great venue with fantastic facilities. I’ve no doubt it will be the biggest and best show yet,” concludes Damien, who is also the main sponsor and secretary of his beloved Ringtown Hurling Club in North Westmeath.
