LED Lights Dublin
07/07/2025
Offering a full range of high-quality, fully-warrantied LED lights for trucks and all other vehicles, with a customer-friendly back-up service to match, LED Lights Dublin will be on hand again at Full of the Pipe 2025 to showcase some of its exceptional products.
LED Lights Dublin has gone from strength to strength since former truck driver and mechanic John Murphy set the business up almost a decade ago. Sourcing, stocking and supplying a fantastic range of LED lights and bulbs for trucks, tractors, vans, cars and indeed any other possible requirement or eventuality, LED Lights Dublin has become synonymous with outstanding selection, value and service.
A constant presence at Full of the Pipe and other truck shows in Ireland, founder John Murphy counts truckers from the length and breadth of the island – and beyond – amongst his ever-growing base of loyal and satisfied customers. He’s looking forward to meeting up with clients old and new at Mondello Park over the second weekend of July, 2025:
“I’m not long back from the show in Waterford, which was good. We do all the truck shows. Full of the Pipe has grown a lot and is the main one to go to. It helped to put us on the map, really. Kevin and Colin are two great guys and I’ve got on great with them since Day One. They look after everyone at the show and if anyone has an issue they will sort it out.
“That approach appeals to be because I believe in looking after people myself. That’s been key to the success and growth of LED Lights Dublin over the last nine years or so. I’ve been doing truck shows for seven or eight years now.
“The first Full of the Pipe I did was in Punchestown and I’ve been back every year since. The last two shows in Mondello were great and I’m sure this one is going to be a special one, too. We’d be very well known at this stage but often when you meet a customer at a show it refreshes their memory and you could hear from them again shortly afterwards. So it’s worth making the effort of getting out there and meeting up with people. I have a lot of loyal customers thankfully and they all know me by name.”
As we spoke, John revealed that he is in the process of building a new exhibition trailer to display his products at shows. He’s hoping to have it ready in time for Full of the Pipe Convoy 25 if time permits.
Reflecting on how he got involved in selling high-quality LED lights and bulbs in the first place, the personable Dub reveals: “I used to be a mechanic years ago and then I drove trucks for a while. I was involved in an accident that left me in a wheelchair for four years and was told I’d never drive a lorry again, so I had to think about doing something else.
“In the meantime, I went to college and did computers but decided that wasn’t for me. I was looking for a career path that I’d enjoy and wanted to get back to something that I knew about so I went into the LED lights and haven’t looked back since.”
John set the business up originally on Meath Street in Dublin City Centre but, due to exponential growth and increasing demand for his products, has since relocated to his existing site in Cookstown Business Centre, Tallaght, Dublin 24. “We’re always adding more lines and more stock and it just keeps growing,” he notes. “It gets to the point where you are hoping you won’t grow too much more but at the same time you’re hoping you will!”
The range of stunning LED lights offered for vehicles is quite simply second to none: “We have LED lights for every vehicle,” John confirms. “Cars, vans, trucks and agri machinery – we cover it all. We also hold every LED bulb you could possibly want – all colours, sizes and voltages. To give an idea of the extensive choice, we have over 100 different LED marker lights for trucks.”
If you want to put an LED light anywhere at all on any vehicle, then LED Lights Dublin has the solution. “We do light bars, beacons, tail lights, anything at all that lights up a truck or tractor we have it. The selection is vast and the quality is proven, and that’s why we have customers all over Ireland and also internationally, including the United States, the UK and Germany. We even have a green, white and orange Ireland flag windscreen LED bar which we’ve sold to customers all over the world.”
All these items can be viewed and purchased via the online store, ledlightsdublin.ie.
As well as the retail side of the business, John also does some wholesale into garages and smaller suppliers.
“A lot of these accessories are already on trucks these days when they are bought new, but if there are any issues with anything we can provide a great service. I was one of the first on the scene doing LED lights – and especially bulbs – for trucks and more and more competition has come along since then, but none of them give the service I give.
“Reputation is everything and we live off our name. I give a full warranty on everything I sell – from a bulb to a spotlight to a light bar to a €1000 beacon. We’d rather do quality than quantity. We’re competitive on price but still give the best quality and stand over everything we sell. If there is a problem, we will fix it.
“We hand out a business card with every sale so that customers can contact us easily and we have no qualms about rectifying any problem that arises. That warranty means a lot. I source all the products very carefully myself and everything is stringently tested both before and after we get them. While others might be happy to pass on lights and bulbs that they can’t stand over, we prefer to give customers products that perform as expected and that keep going.”
Full of the Pipe Truck Show Ireland is on July 12 & 13 in Mondello Park
