The complete service from GRS
20/04/2026
GRS Recovery (Graham Recovery Service) has been providing unrivalled vehicle recovery and transport services to customers in the Mid-West and beyond since 2008.
Specialising in vehicle recovery, nationwide vehicle transport, secure storage, vehicle hire, fuel drainage and car sales, the Limerick-headquartered firm is a trusted name among sole traders and individual vehicle owners who require immediate and reliable recovery services in the event of a breakdown. GRS is also a leading vehicle transport expert offering daily services between all the main cities.
These include Limerick-Cork, Limerick-Dublin, Dublin-Cork, Dublin-Galway and Limerick-Galway. In addition, the company has a second depot in Tralee which underscores its strong presence in the Mid-West. Furthermore, the company holds a waste collection permit which allows it to transport scrap and end-of-life vehicles.
Based on the Ballysimon Road in Limerick, GRS is fronted by Niall Graham, whose small but dedicated team includes his son Nathan. The family business is fully equipped to handle everything from motorcycles and passenger cars to light commercial and heavy goods vehicles.
“We offer a complete vehicle breakdown and transport service,” says Niall, who has worked in the transport business all his life.
“We are on call 24 hours a day, seven days a week to deal with any breakdown in the region. But we’re not just confined to this part of the country. If, for example, we are asked to pick up a car in Donegal, we can do it. We have our own workshop and storage facility in Delta Business Park and pride ourselves in providing a prompt, safe, professional, friendly and value-for-money service, which is complemented by our modern fleet.
“It’s a cut-throat market, but we are still one of the most competitively-priced recovery specialists around. We won’t be beaten on service or price.”
No vehicle is too big or too small for GRS. Deploying four tilt-and-slide recovery trucks, Niall and his team can handle any size of vehicle. He also operates a van for rapid response. The recovery vehicles are always stocked with items such as fuel, light bulbs, batteries and fuses which may get your vehicle sorted on the spot.
“Our tilt-and-slides consist of two MAN, one Renault and one Mercedes. Two of them can carry up to four cars. One of the MANs was purchased new from Dennehy Commercials. We also have a 2024-reg Renault Master van for rapid response,” Niall explains.
“We provide the full spectrum of breakdown and recovery services from accidents and breakdowns to mobile roadside diagnostics, batteries, wheel and tyre repairs, jump starts, lock-outs and fuel drainage.”
GRS boasts an impressive customer-base which includes Frank Hogan (Mercedes-Benz), the aforementioned Dennehy Commercials, Joe Duffy Group, Keary’s Carstore, GPT Plant Hire, Wilson Car Auctions, Northgate Vehicle Hire and Ace Autobody. It is also an approved repairer for all the leading insurance companies.
The company has come a long way since Niall set it up at the start of the economic recession.
“It was a big gamble at the time, but there was an opening for this type of business in Limerick and I decided to go for it,” he recalls.
“I had driven articulated trucks in Ireland and the UK, and always had an interest in cars and car sales, which is another string to our bow. I have a lot of contacts in the business and that has stood to me since going out on my own.
“It goes without saying that our people are our greatest asset. You can have all the state-of-the-art equipment in the world, but you’re nothing without your team. I consider myself very fortunate to be surrounded by a top-class crew who are always willing to go the extra mile for our customers.”
As GRS continues to go from strength to strength, Niall would like to take this opportunity to thank his clients, suppliers and staff for their continued loyalty and support.
