Full of the Pipe wouldn’t be the same without Kennedy International

Locally-based industry-leading family-run haulage contractor Kennedy International is a true friend to Full of the Pipe. Kennedy International’s magnificent fleet of show vehicles and working trucks is always to the fore at FOTP and they are also busy behind the scenes every year helping the organisers make sure the event goes off smoothly.

Kevin and Colin can’t speak highly enough of the enormous assistance they receive every year from the guys at Kennedy International. Operating out of Clane in County Kildare – literally down the road from Mondello Park – Kennedy International fully embrace Ireland’s premier truck show each summer and are heavily involved in the success of Full of the Pipe … before, during and after the iconic event itself!

The Kennedys take their show-stopping old-style trucks to FOTP every year to add a bit of authentic vintage flavour and Jackie and his brothers are also a massive help behind the scenes during the days and weeks leading up to the show.

“We’re really looking forward to it again and we’ll definitely be bringing a few trucks over again,” Jackie confirms. “With the show being local – it only takes us 15 minutes to get over to Mondello – that makes it very convenient and we’re always more than happy to help out in any way we can. This show is for truckers and obviously anything you can do to make it a success, you will do it, no questions asked.

“We’ve been supporters of Full of the Pipe since it started – attending in Athlone, Cavan, Punchestown and now Mondello. It’s the show to be at every year in Ireland, that’s for sure!”

And to say that Kennedy International will be there is arguably something of an understatement. Last year they brought a vast range of vehicles from their fleet and it’ll be the same again over the second weekend of July 2026:

“We’ll bring a nice mix of styles and reg’s – from vintage stuff all the way up to brand new lorries,” says Jackie. “Last year we had 25 trucks there in total and we’ll be going for something similar this year. It’s impossible to know too early in advance as you don’t know what’s going to be on the road come the time, but I’d say we’ll be bringing at least 20.”

The older vintage vehicles are all kept inside and preserved in pristine condition at all times, while the lorries in the working fleet are also nigh on immaculate from one end of the day to the next. So they’ll be all well-presented at Full of the Pipe…

“We do take pride in the fleet and the drivers take ownership of a lot of that. They’d give them a good clean every Friday evening and in fairness they do their best to keep them looking fresh and clean. So please god there shouldn’t be too much work needed to get them ready for the show.

“To be honest, we’re not really going to show off the lorries or to try to win prizes anyway. We’re more interested in the social aspect of it and we’ll be going to meet up with people and have a bit of craic over the weekend. That’s what Full of the Pipe is all about at the end of the day.

“It’s always a good weekend and we’re all looking forward to it. The organisers are great lads. They put savage work into the show and I’d like to take this opportunity to wish them all the best with the 2026 show.”

Full of the Pipe 2026 ties in perfectly with the 30th anniversary celebrations of Kennedy International, which was established in 1996 by Jimmy Kennedy. Today, the company is run by the founder’s three sons – Paul, James and Jackie - with an extensive fleet of 87 trucks in total providing a complete range of national and international haulage solutions that covers everything except livestock and car transportation.

All told, between office staff, mechanics, drivers and shift drivers based in the UK, employment is generated for a team of up to 150. “Staff are very important and you try to look after them all as best you can,” Jackie notes.
